Woodhall Spa

I work in hand-drawn line illustration combined with digital color and textured collage, beginning with on-site sketches and archival references, moving through precise inked linework and finished with layered color and surface treatments. My work presents streets, rooflines and everyday objects—bicycles, clockfaces, vintage aircraft, small domestic figures—to reveal how architecture holds layered histories and quiet movement; I draw on early 20th-century posters, mid-century illustration, and vernacular urban detail. I favor clean outlines and a restrained palette, contrasting flattened color with detailed linework and occasionally tilting perspective or compressing scale to suggest how memory rearranges a place. Across the body of work I present familiar places with slight dislocations that reveal small gestures and temporal overlap.
